Would anyone take the Eaton trade back?

Grace says, "Hey Rosenthal! Hold my beer!"

I just bought a "commemorative ticket" to Lucas Giolito's no-hitter. They are being sold via Ticketmaster, and you can actually select a seat in the ballpark that will be listed on your ticket. I believe once one person gets a seat, nobody else can get a ticket for that seat.

I still had to pay a freaking $2.70 Ticketmaster service charge.

Dane Dunning started against the Royals today and had a no-hitter going through 5.0 IP (7K's) when he was lifted for a reliever. Wow. That's some commitment to the Tommy John recovery schedule.

Gio Gonzalez is on  the IL now, having injured himself while warming up in the bullpen. He was going to go into relief for another bad Reynaldo Lopez start on Friday but alas.

Not just any reliever - Jimmy Cordero, another ex-Nat on a staff full of them.

Reynaldo Lopez banished to Schaumburg, IL after getting knocked around by the Twins last night. He may never return. Just can't locate his fastball.

I watched his start last night.  He's got some guts - he threw a 3-2 fastball down the pipe to Cruz with the bases loaded and blew him away.  And his defense let him down badly.  But he spent too much time nibbling with the slider and got behind far too many guys.

I’d take a flyer on him with Soto and Harrison hurt.

Souza will definitely get at least one more chance to prove that his bad 2020 wasn't just the result of slow recovery from a bad injury. But for now it looks like the Nationals made the right decision to keep Michael A. Taylor instead. This wasn't certain for a long time.
