Zimm has played 15 full or partial seasons including his 05 cup of tea.

He has played 142+ games in 7 of those and in each of them he has 20+ HR.

In the other 8 seasons he has played 115 or less and hasn't hit more than 16 HR in any of those seasons.

His stick has never ever ever been the problem. 

That diving play in the WS proved he's still got the glove.

If he feels as good as he says he feels none of us should doubt him and it is shameful to do so.

He would have made like $400k for this season. Thats not gonna move the needle for a guy like him when he could risk getting sick and taking it home with him.

Side note - I met  him once in Norfolk. He was playing corn hole with David Wright. We were all in this VIP area at this wine fest down there. I went right up to him and asked for a pic. I couldn't help myself and didn't realize until later what a dick move that is. He was totally cool. David Wight took the pic and I said I didn't need one of him and they both laughed. He could have told me to F off and I would have deserved it....Its kind of hard to not think there is some kind of connection with these guys with as much support as we give them as we follow the team. The players don't know us from anyone.
