Now that I think about it, "Pelosi Clap" sounds like an STD.

Baby Shark was annoying, then Parra brought it to the Nats and it became a whole other thing.  Is the song in and of itself annoying?  Of course.  But it's part of the 2019 Nationals lure now and I'll probably bust it out 50 years from now and smile while others cover their ears and frown.

I thought her clap was closer to the doubles clap.  Wrist together, clap with the palms.  The triple clap, which is what the crowd generally does, is the Gator chomp.

Yeah, I was picturing something else.

Still. Straighten up Duke. Get your crap together.

I've taken to whistling it when I walk down the halls at work.

Oh, it will (like right now) pop in my head randomly and I'll either actually hum it out loud a little or tap my toes to it or something.

There's a Braves fan in my office. He hears this ALL THE TIME now.

I added it to my workout playlist. It’s always fun when it pops up.

does anyone know  what the first game was where the fans started doing it when he came up to bat? It happened so organically that I can't really pinpoint the moment that it became a 'thing'  I remember Freddies reaction to it was priceless but I would love to see clips of the first game if anyone has them.

The shark thing was around during the Bernadina days. If it sticks around further, that’s fine.

Thanks!  I couldn’t believe how many people forgot that the Shark is a traditional Nats character

I suspect in a few years that the shark will just be associated with the Nats

That's a great idea. Screech has pretty much jumped the shark and it's time he join me in retirement.

I love the idea, but you do realize if that were to happen it would guarantee "Baby Shark" during the 7th inning stretch

I can see it now.  The Nats stage a 7th inning stretch, Screech is out there leading it, and Baby Shark comes up and eats Screech to stage the coup.

I heard it for the first time at the 4th of July game.  A couple in front of us was doing the shark chomp and I asked what they hell the song was and what they were doing.

You are such a heathen !

Besides, how would the baby shark be special if he would appear each game ?  Screech is perfect for daily - and the kids love him.

JCA - why don't you start thinking about the kids and not yourself for a change ???

So, you are saying the kids don't like Baby Shark?  When was the last time you were near a 4 year old?

On second thought, don't tell me.
