I’m in south Florida and it’s around 40. Can’t wait to head north.

Our relatives live in Pembroke Pines (Broward County) and this morning the wind chill was 28° there. In the Miami area!

This is just a week after record highs in much of Florida.

I'm all good. Tornado was a couple miles from me, I slept through it (I'm 2 miles south of Broadway, tornado was about 1 mile north of Broadway), me and my dog woke up to thunder at 3 AM and I already had some messages from people asking if I was ok. Pretty scary stuff. I have a ton of friends who live in the affected areas. Luckily, seems like no one I know is hurt or has significant damage. Some serious devastation though. I just hope the death toll doesn't continue to rise.

Strong tornadoes possible across the Southeast today, and up into NC and VA tomorrow.  Just because, things aren't crazy enough already. Tornadoes already being reported in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi.

tornado watch for much of the DC area until 6 PM, the CWG Facebook broadcast last night warned that if you see the sun about now, it is a bad sign because it will create lower level warming that will contribute to the next round of storms.  The sun has been out for the last hour or so here in Western Prince William.

Sometimes I wonder what Old Man Ellicott did to piss off Thor and Zeus so much.

Bad hailstorm here just before 1:00. Hopefully none of the cars we have outside (we have a one-car garage) took any damage.

Our neighbors up and down the block all inexplicably insisted on putting out their trash and recycling and the recycling had not yet been picked up, so lots of loose stuff blew all over the place and washed down the storm drain. I know whose milk jug is in our front yard and I will be throwing it in his driveway when I go out to get the mail later. (We didn't put anything out. Trash can wait until Thursday and recycling until next week.)

I think we're out of it here in western PWC, radar doesn't show anything else out there.  Actually, radar shows the entire D.C. area is clearing once the storms NW of DC around Bethesda / Rockville move out.

Calm has given way again to gusts and dark dark clouds to the southwest here in Gaithersburg. Again.
