I don't see any other tropical disturbances out there.  So word has gotten out.

Meanwhile on the other side of the world it's still active also.

When was the last time a cat 5 hurricane hit the exact same spot as a cat 4 within the same month?  A friend sent a phone video of a whole herd of cows being swept down a gully next to his house during the last one.  This is apocalyptic

it may never end, the NHC is watching two more areas of interest, both at 20% chance of formation in the next five days.

Never Say Never Again.

At some point in the future the atmosphere will boil off the planet and there will no longer be weather.

Looks the one is in the Atlantic and would head northeast so not much of a threat.  However the other one could head back to Nicaragua/Honduras.  Not optimal.

No, I'm pretty sure with this much rain, it's turning into Lake Superior, when the storms of November come early. The people are all crew on the Edmund Fitzgerald.

Per CWG, DC is on the rain/snow line for Wednesday's storm.  the I-81 corridor is expected to get the brunt of the storm, D.C. may get an inch or two.

I listened to the CWG guys Facebook update tonight, at this point they seem to have little confidence in the forecast.  The rain-snow line has shifted in later models far to the East, to the point where everything west of I-95 would get heavy snow. Earlier models had the bulk of the snow in the I-81 corridor with the western DC suburbs only getting a couple of inches.

I suspect this will be one of those storms where they won't have any confidence in snow totals until Tuesday evening.  It's going to be very cold the rest of the week, so whatever we get on Wednesday into Thursday will stick around for a while.

If this had been any other year, I would have been psyched about a possible snow day, reloading CWG constantly until 2 AM and getting psyched for the release of FedCast. Alas, I think in 2020 I would still have to work from home even if there were 2 feet of snow on the ground.
