I’m here  :oldy: we went through a cat 3 in 2004 with Ivan and a cat 2/borderline 3 the next year with Dennis so I really wouldn’t be concerned this time but my street is kind of in a valley in my neighborhood, we’ve come sooooooclose to flooding a couple times so if this is a Harvey-like storm I’m probably a screwed  :'(  I have flood insurance so I’m not worried about my stuff but we’ve got 4 dogs and a cat, the idea of having to evacuate with my menagerie makes me :panic:

a bit of good news, none of the other storms in The Atlantic are heading this way, all the models show Teddy turning out to sea and Vicky falling apart.

Well, if dealing with the models is leading to Vicky falling apart, I suggest she not let them body-shame her and just recognize her inner beauty.

i'm more concerned about Abe or Tom running past Teddy and hitting smack into Atlanta.

It was exactly 16 years ago today on the 16th that Hurricane Ivan hit and now Sally is coming ashore in the exact same spot, crazy. Pretty gnarly out now, hopefully doesn’t get too much worse before she fizzles out

Glad to see the category number didn't increase.

The Atlantic coast states are getting quite the surf now, with the different hurricanes out in the Atlantic.  None of them look to be coming to shore as of now.  But red flags are up for swimming and nobody in dining outside at places that have oceanside tables.

It's a good time for surfers in the Atlantic.

It did, it’s a cat 2 as of now so it’s a bit higher than the tropical storm we all thought we were getting :?

Do your people even bother stocking up in booze for anything under a CAT 4?

Something Skippy put on Facebook:

Hey everyone we made it through! House started flooding which it’s never done before but I prayed to St. Jude and literally within 5 minutes the rain slowed then stopped and it was supposed to continue for many more hours, power of prayer people! Neighbor took pic of house this morning, it was quite scary to see how high that water got! No power and cell service is almost nil but we are so thankful that we and our animals are all safe 🙏
