Cameron LA is gone:
I was wondering if any coastal towns would get hit as hard as Mexico Beach (near Panama City, FL) got hit by Hurricane Michael in 2018, which was a picture of utter devastation. This answers that question.
The NHC STILL has the storm re-organizing into a tropical storm as it passes along the northeast coast, possibly brushing the major rich people playgrounds (eastern Long Island, Newport, Nantucket/Martha's Vineyard).
