I think I'm going to barf.  I'll give vocals to Stephen Stills and instruments to Firefall's arrangement.  But knowing I'll never get back the 4 minutes I spent listening to that stuff makes me sad and queasy.

Obviously you have no musical taste. Just think that you missed out on four minutes of a Belicheat press conference.

BTW the Stephen Stills/Manassas album is a must have for for boomers and you Gen X/Y/Z whippersnappers might like it also. Rock. Blues. Country. Latin. All in one double album with an amazing collection of musicians. Wish Stephen had gotten back together with some of these dudes over the years rather than Crosby and Nash. Their stuff the last 30 years has been disappointing.

Tristan und Isolde (Barenboim's recording, with Meier and Jerusalem) this past Saturday; Shostakovich's complete symphonies (Haitink) this past Sunday.

Until this CoronaExtraVirus business blows over I am going to be getting really heavily into my large classical recording collection because I am sick and tired of all the unrelenting atmosphere of GLOOM AND DOOM coming over the media. I need to self-quarantine from negativity-on-steroids, and classical provides the ideal alternative.

The Night Flight Orchestra is back with their FIFTH album of throwback rock. I’m not sure we needed five albums of this, but I nevertheless appreciate their efforts. Always good for some fun listening. I must preface this by saying this song has a MAJOR earworm hook that will be stuck in your head for days whether you like it or not.

Any of you remember the band Everything that came out of JMU in the early 90's and was a staple at places like The Bayou and the 9:30 club throughout most of the 90's?  They had one decent hit called "Hootch" around the mid 90s that featured one of the worst music videos ever.

While most of the guys have moved on, they do have a very active Facebook page and the lead singer, Craig Honeycutt, has been posting nightly acoustic performances for the last week and a half.

On a twelve string! (I've never seen an Ovation electric guitar, well, acoustic/electric, but not solid body. Probably made for him. He played them alot.)

This is great stuff. Nothing ever came out of this such as a tour or an album but great to listen to. Bruce Palmer is there also on bass. Not sure if that is Dewey Martin in drums.

I dont know much about electric guitars but know that sounds awfully good. I was going to buy an Ovation acoustic guitar a while back but didn’t.

As much as I loved the sound, I never liked the round back. Slipped too much. I always lusted after those Guild F shaped guitars.

I hear ya.  Try that with the Eagles "Hotel Califonia".  Or Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody".  Not for the play-by-play, but for the message.

Do any of you have any locals musicians that you like to see that are putting together online gigs for their regular customers as a way to earn a little income during this time of social isolation ?
