What are you about to listen to in 2020?

Saw Jersey Boys tonight at the National Theater.  I highly recommend it.  We got a deal for half-price tickets through Goldstar and sat in the upper tier.  Even still, it was an enjoyable show that served as a reminder as to how many hits Valli and the Four Seasons produced.

I wonder if Midnight Oil is having a rebirth, too.

2020 RnR HoF inductees announced: Depeche Mode, The Doobie Brothers, Whitney Houston, Nine Inch Nails, The Notorious B.I.G. and T-Rex.

No Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Motorhead, Pat Benatar, Dave Matthews, Bad Company or Styx. :(

why is it that when I hear Depeche Mode made it, I feel passive and melancholy?

Enjoy the silence.  It's crazy that Bad Company isn't in the HoF

I don't think so.  I mean, T-Rex made it.

At this point they might as well rename it the POP/ROCK/HIP HOP & RAP HOF.  Most of these rock and heavy metal groups are too white to ever get in under the current climate.

doobies, T-Rex, and nine inch nails are rock. Metal is under-represented. Def Leppard made it in 2019 but is pop, relative to motorhead and judas preist.  Hard for me to believe Deep Purple (2016) is in but not BadCo.

They have a fan vote and then basically don't pay attention to it.  Eventually the fans will stop voting.

Bad Company is total trash and outside of the S/T had a really weak catalog.  Kind of funny they waited so long to put in former Clevelander Trent Reznor.  Also kind of surprised it took so long for the Zombies to get in.  Unsurprisingly "No Results Found" when I search for my main man Lee "Scratch" Perry.  'Nuff said.

I am so embarrassed to admit this, but I am a huge Natalie Merchant fan.

I loved her cover of Because the Night.  And I'm also a big fan of Sarah McLachlan. :)

If you are into that style, might I suggest Tasmin Archer?

I heard this on an episode of Breaking Bad years ago (the greatest TV show ever made) and I'm still OD'ing on it.
