Leslie West @ 75...

https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/leslie-west-guitar-hero-of-pioneering-mississippi-queen-hard-rock-band-mountain-dead-at-75-232105269.html

I saw Mountain in concert, in 1970 or 1971...I forget which.  Felix Pappalardi passed in 1983 as a result of a gunshot wound...a gunshot fired by his wife...

The era is quickly coming to an end...

Anyone remember West Bruce & Laing, who did two studio albums in 1972-73 - two-thirds of that band are now no longer with us (Jack Bruce died in 2014; only Corky Laing, who was also in Mountain, remains).

Former Bullets Coach KC Jones :(

Listened to Brad Stevens yesterday between the 3d and 4th quarters and he sent condolences to both the Heinsohns and the Joneses.  The Celts already were wearing "Tommy" across their chests on their warm ups this year.  4 championships as coaches for those two.  Doc has one, Bill Fitch has one, Russell / Tommy / KC have 2 each, and Red has 9.

not a bad singer either.

If you look in the comments, Greg Kite mentions how KC used to pop into hotel piano bars on the road and sing.  KC's daughter also posts.

nice article here.  He really was screwed in DC.

I don't know if her folks had a sly sense of humor, but I once worked with a red-head named Mary Ann.

Died of COVID-19. :(

Good, way past time.

Is it any different than horse racing? Genuine question and I say that as a previous dog owner and hope to be again this new year.

After talking to someone who was very well versed in what happens at tracks no, horse racing is atrocious for the animal as well.

I suspect they're right and you could probably include the circus, zoos, and possibly even dog shows.

for sure circuses, the good zoos I think do a decent job making it the best it can be for animals but it's still depressing as hell seeing the big gorillas staring blankly out at you in their too-small enclosures.  Dog shows are garbage for the most part although the agility stuff is cool, seem like the doggies really enjoy that.

Last night’s AEW tribute show to Jon Huber (aka Luke Harper / Brodie Lee) was beautiful and emotional. It couldn’t have been done any more perfectly for both him and his family.
