Didn't Jim Taylor pass a little earlier this year?

Wolfgang Van Halen did a really emotional interview with Howard Stern. Said Eddie was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer in 2017 and given six weeks to live but had an experimental treatment in Germany that put the cancer into remission. In 2018 they were working in a Van Halen reunion tour with Hagar, Roth, Michael Anthony, and Gary Cherone but in early 2019 Eddie had a motorcycle accident and they discovered a brain tumor. He underwent surgery but that’s when the final decline began. :(

I REALLY wish some enterprising person could transform Selma into a go-to destination, the history there should be celebrated but it is such a depressing area. We went a few year ago and walked across the bridge and it made me sad more isn't being done to truly honor and memorialize what transpired there.

Tony Bose died 11/22/2020.

He might be an obscure name to most of you but I'm sure you all have some memory of his work.

He was a knife maker that made some very expensive custom knives. He is also well known for designing the majority of patterns for Case Cutlery. If your dad or grandpa carried an old school slipjoint style knife from Case Cutlery, 99% chance that Mr. Bose designed it.

It's tough to get support for a memorial when the state/local government can't say they were proud in what happened there.  It's going to take some private donations by Alabama firms to build a memorial in Selma.  A good start would be for someone to write a strong letter to large Alabama papers suggesting a memorial for the bridge & John Lewis.  But selma the area needs jobs, such as those that have left for other countries over the past 40 years.

There is a memorial park but it's not very well kept up.  The whole area needs revitalization, just need an enterprising person to see its potential.

Given all the drugs and alcohol he injested over the years it’s probably a miracle that he made it that long.

So you're saying MDS has a chance to hit the century mark?

I picture him as a real life equivalent of Bill Murray in Groundhog Day.  So we preserved that he is indestructible and bounces back everyday.

Dick (Richie) Allen.  78 in his hometown of Wampum, PA.  My favorite player as a kid.  Should be in the HOF.  Probably will but he won't see it now.   :'(
