Sean Connery
RIP 007

Ugh, loved him in the Bond movies. I never tire of watching them. The newer Bond movies?  Meh.

Yeah. I recently watched Casino Royale with Daniel Craig. It was OK but didn’t make we want to watch the other ones he is in.

If you don’t like Casino Royale, you certainly aren’t going to like Skyfall.

Sean Connery was the only real Bond...no others need apply.

Not that I didn't like it--thought it was OK.

Roger Moore was a close second.

Sean Connery > The guy who I forgot who played in one of the early ones > Daniel Craig > Roger Moore.  I don't think I ever saw Pierce Brosnan play Bond.

Daniel Craig looks kinda Slavic to me which kind of ruins the whole mystique of Bond/007 spying on the evil empire amongst others.

George Lazenby. He appeared only once, in On Her Majesty's Secret Service.

Yes. He’s the one.

Forgot Timothy Dalton also.

Connery as 007 predated me a bit, my earliest Bond memories are the Roger Moore films.  For me, I most associated Connery with The Hunt for Red October and The Untouchables.

I haven't seen Casino Royale.  Spectre was horrible.  Sky Fall is one of my favorite movies.

So much wrong with this statement. He wasn’t close to Connery and he was the worst Bond.

Moore I think was very uneven. His first two or so were very good and his last few were awful.  Didn't Moore do Diamonds are Forever and Live and Let Die?

David Niven, Peter Sellers or Woody Allen share my vote as the most obscure Bond

The phrase in Hebrew for a briefcase is "tic James Bond."

I liked Casino Royale because it moved away from the gadgets and was more closer to the source material. Quantum of Solace was, politely, dull. Skyfall I thought was very solid - in the top five bond list. And regarding Roger Moore, he got campier as the movies went on, and less suave. But Live and Let Die was just fantastic. The voodoo guy scared the hell out of me when I was a kid. When I was older and he did the 7 Up adverts, he really grew on me. Geoffrey Holder.

I think License to Kill was Dalton's best. Goldeneye was Brosnan's best. Connery is tougher because it was well into the Moore years when I was a kid. Saw him in Never Say Never Again and my dad pointed out that it was remake of Thunderball; as such, Thunderball became my favorite Connery Bond movie.

Untouchables is the overall best from him in my mind.

Hunt for Red October is the movie I think of when I hear Connery’s name
