I think Brown owned the Buffalo Braves, then swapped franchises with Howard Schmertz when Schmertz wanted to get a team in San Diego. Brown got to keep Bob McAdoo and maybe a couple other players, and I forget if the Clippers got to take a few Celtics in the deal.

Annie Glenn, John Glenn’s wife, of COVID19. She was 100.

For those of us of a certain age, John Glenn will always be a cultural touchstone. He was such a hero that I even had a John Glenn astronaut lunch box as a kid. You know, one of those old metal lunch boxes with the curved clasps inside to hold the the matching Thermos. That old lunchbox would probably be worth a fortune now.

Leave It to Beaver can be seen On Demand on NBC, as part of the content for the new NBC/Universal streaming service. It's available now for FREE to Xfinity/Comcast cable subscribers now, which was supposed to launch in July 2020.

Yep - he didn’t trust those newfangled machines. He wanted those trajectory figures verified by the human computer. And didn’t give a damn about that computer’s race or gender. That was a good scene, along with him thanking the line of white staffers, then continuing down the line to thank the AA staff as well.

Anyone with Xfinity/Comcast can watch ANY episode on S.N.L. going back to Season 1, through the Xfinity button on the remote, under Networks/NBC. There are numerous old shows there or under Universal.

I started to watch it. 11 minutes in and nothing made me laugh.

Two character actors, memorable in the "hey! it's that guy" sense, both on the 26th:

Richard Herd, probably most memorable as George Constanza's supervisor with the Yankees, and in various sci-fi TV roles.

Anthony James, most memorable from a number of Westerns, including his last film, Unforgiven, where he was the guy who should have armed himself if he was going to decorate his saloon with Bill Munny's friend. For some reason, he also sticks out for me from Return to Witch Mountain, probably because that was likely the first movie I saw him in.
