Why don’t the Redskins have their second round pick?  They could use it.

Trent Williams traded to SF for a 5th round pick this year and a 3rd in 2021.

Bruce Allen ruined the Williams situation not flipping him early.

Williams's agent made it worse at end.

Pitiful return for his talent, but have to lump it in with the past and move forward.

They should have traded down, need multiple solid players.  Sure, we hope he's enough of a pass-rush beast that it improves the secondary, which it should, but enough?
Who is going to make those player evaluations and picks? Rivera is the defacto GM and its not like he's known for finding diamonds in the later rounds.

Young is the number 2 pick. Khalil Mack/Justin Houston/Vonn Miller level performance should be expected.

Maybe, but Williams freaked himself when he accused the medical staff of gross negligence, and then refused to participate in the investigative process. A process he agreed to as the Skins' union rep. 0

It’s the redskins- he’ll be good enough for fans to buy in, but not good enough to be on the national radar- it’s how things work with the organization

Rivera and staff now have a D Line with four young first rounders, Matt Ioannidis, and old Kerrigan.

Time to see if Bruce Allen overdrafted or they were terribly coached. Leaning and hoping toward the latter. The secondary is a disaster and, barring this pass rush becoming elite, things could get ugly.
Four years in a row the Redskins have taken a defensive lineman/pass rusher in the first rounder.

Idiotic drafting.  Not one of the previous three are anywhere near a stud.  Best DL on the team right now is Matt Ionadis.

i'm not sure i can think of a worse location - https://thefandc.radio.com/dan-snyder-eyeing-springfield-for-redskins-stadium

He'd be writing off most of the Skins' Maryland following (and abandoning them to the Ravens) if he relocates too deeply into Virginia.

Virginia had its chance when the Potomac Yards site (relatively close-in and on 2 existing Metrorail lines) was still under discussion in the early 1990's...unfortunately, that aircraft has taken off.

[Speaking of the Ravens - the Skins get them on their 'home' fixture list this year - how big a FedEx Field takeover is everyone expecting?]

We live not far to the east of Springfield. I have no idea where you'd put a stadium. Once upon a time there was talk of a baseball stadium at the old Fort Belvoir Proving Grounds (now known as the Fort Belvoir North Area) just to the west of I-95, but that area has been developed with a bunch of federal installations.

Sweat and Payne, maybe. Allen is legit.

I dunno. I think most of those willing to abandon ship already have (MoCo has plenty of Ravens fans now).  If he lost some Maryland STHs, would that be offset by the gain in Virginia STHs? Probably more than offset.

Huh. I thought that's where most of the diehard fans were.

Maybe if the XFL returns to Audi.

Heck, at this point it might be cost effective for the Redskins to start playing their games at Audi. :)

Full Redskins schedule - https://www.redskins.com/schedule/; no prime-time fixtures this regular season (unless of course we get one 'flipped' to prime time during the flexible-scheduling period later in the season).

With Metrorail closing at 21.00 nightly it's probably good news for a lot of FedEx Field attendees.

Sweat and Payne, maybe. Allen is legit.

Sweat was playing a new position last year. Dropped into coverage on 40% of his snaps, because he was the best coverage LB on the team (QB rating against him was 70.1), and still got 50 tackles, 7 sacks, 8 TFL, 13 QB hits, 5 QB knockdowns, and 27 QB pressures. He was really good for a rookie who wasn't used properly - he only blitzed on 37 total snaps for the season. For comparison, Shaquil Barrett led the league in sacks last year as a 3-4 OLB and he blitzed on 174 snaps.

Good timing to trade Dunbar.
Looks like the trade to the Seahawks wasn't the only robbery Dunbar was involved in
