Does anyone remember why Rivera did not sign Cam Newton a year ago? I see that Newton says he wants to play in a system he knows.
Newton was coming off an injury. He had 2 good games this year: 1st and last. Heinecke is better now.

Because a big goal this year was seeing if Haskins was the answer, and we get that answer.

And even in Charlotte at the end, Rivera was leaning Kyle Allen. Cam Newton was a star QB, but seems his career is well past its prime.

And hello, Smithian, a regugee from what was the best Redskin fan board.

Don't see other reporting on that.  The line has actually gone from +8 1/2 to + 7 1/2 over the past day or so. If Smith doesn't play I would expect that to go up 2/3 points.

I hope he retires before he gets seriously re-injured. Washington isn't making a deep run, win or lose today.

Spread went back up to 8 + 1/2.

The article notes that Heinicke took most of the first-team reps in practice this week.

I'm going to enjoy watching the Washington D line work on Brady.  Some good pressure up the middle to get his feet moving and prevent him from stepping up.  Del Rio has given him trouble in the past.

I still think Smith will play some.  If he is totally out who is the backup? Guiness?

My wife just noted that Ndomakung (sp?) Suh plays for Tampa, so maybe it’s good if Smith doesn’t start. Suh is a dirty SOB.

Smith needs his mobility to run around Suh.
