https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/29411648/coach-ron-rivera-says-working-redskins-owner-new-nicknames“Rivera told the Post it is important that a new nickname respects Native American culture and traditions, while also saluting the military. Rivera is the son of an Army officer.”So why does the name have to respect the military? And why does it have to have anything to do with native Americans at all? Can’t they just pick a fun name? I would suggest a local poll but last time that happened it resulted in the Wizards.
