Soto lied to make it sound better.

Amazing how the WE DID IT thread and the entire board went largely moribund over the last six weeks or so and then down this Soto motive road. Even the Caps message boards by and large were chock full of celebratory posts and kept the general angst ones out of their comparable threads.

This may be the dumbest argument in the history of WNFF...

Who won the World Series this year?

not sure why we're rehashing this.  Soto made a base running blunder, it didn't matter.  Move on. :)

I stood in line forever to get into that game. I got into the stadium just as Barrett was throwing out the ceremonial first pitch. I had literally just sat down in my seat (right in front of the Nats dugout) when CLANK!, Yasmani Grandal's home run hit the bullpen bench right in front of me. I got to watch Strasburg sit in the dugout the first few innings, at times warming up when Max was struggling.

But all's well that ends well. Never have I seen Nationals Park more euphoric.

I didn't mean for this topic to go like this when I brought it up.   I think the more curious aspect is how it turned into a blessing in disguise.  In re-watching, it struck me how little time passed between that hit and Hudson being on the mound and I really think that benefited him.  If they pulled Hader at that point, or there were a couple more hitters who got on but didn't score, I'm not sure Hudson goes in as relaxed to the top of the 9th.

Also, it made for a way more iconic celebration having him dancing around between second and third, not giving a damn!

It's so much fun to watch Parra through that whole bottom of the 8th.  I don't know that anyone in the park wanted that win more than he did!

Being replayed on 106.7. Down so quick; Kendrick with first hit and then Suzuki almost goes deep (Charlie’s call reflected that).

Listening on a walk around the block.    The Nats were down 3-0.

Game     :)

I'm trying to figure the time of Soto's hit so I make sure I don't miss it.    I'm figuring about 9:30 or so.

It’s a damned shame Spider got deported as he’d love to be listening to this.

I like the idea of rebroadcasting the Nats playoff matches - but why only 'select' postseason games (per the E-mail that was sent round yesterday)? The regular MLB schedule isn't coming back anytime soon, so let's catch 'em all - wins or losses - relive the whole story.

What a game

That was the first time I heard the radio broadcast. Holy crap, that crowd was loud. It was loud while I was in it, but it was just a sonic explosion on the radio.
