World Series Ring

I know that the Lerners are cheap. But is there an article or link somewhere on how many players rings will be given? On Spencer Kieboom wiki who only played 11 games in total and was not in the post season roster will be given a World Series player ring.

There's no info on rings yet, but they did announce 61 full shares ($382,358), 14.1 partial shares, and 2 cash awards of the $29 million World Series payout, so I assume all of those folks will get a ring.  They had 50 players on the roster this season, so the rest goes to coaches, trainers, and staff.

I think they make up a heck of a lot more than rings than there are roster slots.  For example, this guy has a ring from Bob Kraft:

The Cubs gave out 1908 rings in 2016. They gave Bartman a ring. They gave Ernie Banks and Ron Santo (long dead) rings. Suffice it to say, anyone remotely related to the Nats will get one. I would not be surprised if the Itkin brothers got one.

Personally, I'm hoping message board moderators get one if they have over 28000 posts.  Scrue you, Squab.

I think those who reversed the jinx deserve one. Also, if you ran up a liquor bill of over $500 over the playoffs, you deserve one.

Will Bryce get one? He was the first one to suggest bringing a title to DC this year after all. And he has been asking for his ring for  several years now.

so does Cope lose out for smuggling his liquor into the park instead of paying ballpark prices?  Seems unfair.

He paid for the liquor in the first place. Also, Cope gets one for doing things like randomly bumping in to homeless dudes in the elevator

seeing that makes me want to donate to vehicles for change because I'm sure that homeless dude could use an 18 year old Saturn with a 124 horsepower engine (sadly, that car passed away in CT 5 years ago).

Don't be like the Mets, who refused to give Mr. Met a 2015 NL Pennant ring.

Plus, the more rings that are given out this year means a higher likelihood that some of them will be in pawnshops or on eBay a few decades from now, for hardcore Nats fans with some money to buy.

they should race with big rings next year.  I'm hoping on Opening Day at home they get rings before the bottom of the 4th.

Alex deserves one ring for every time she was on the receiving end of a gatorade bucket dump.
