Porsche not enough?  Damn, my crap old car is somewhere around here with a dead battery.  I'd get it jumped but I forget where it is.

MDS has convinced me that I’m not immortal. I’ve always wanted a Ducati so freak it.

What makes you think the rats haven't chewed up your wiring already?

Rodents aren't just a city problem, my son has had to clear out field mice from his motor (inside the air cleaner) on nearly an annual basis from his Mazda Protege he parks outside near a prime mouse habitat.

I’m over on the eastern shore, city is in the past.

Very cool...and 73HP / 49TQ is pretty damned stout for a bike that weighs less than 400 pounds...

Enjoy!

Disclaimer: this is not an endorsement for or against immortality. All of our immortality is subject to extenuating circumstances.

Perhaps, one week in and just laying around the house drinking.  So far, so good!

Why around the house ?  Find a local place not far from home and be part of a social group that meets there 3-5 times a week.  Share ideas - about retirement, wives, politics, wives, tv shows, wives, sports, and even about wives.

So I applied for SS last month to be effective in October which is when I turn 66. The reason I chose that is because it's my Full Retirement Age. Yeah I could've waited a few more years to really increase the monthly check but who knows what'll happen between now and age 70.  Still waiting for them to approve it. :mg:

Your 1st check could be at 30 days past your birthday.  SS will contact you to make sure you want that date.

Mine with through without a problem although the amount was slightly different from what they originally told me. They will also ask how much federal tax you want withheld. The pay date depends on your birthday.  Mine is the end of month so I get the fourth Wednesday.

All I know is that I'll lose some of it due to my ginormous civil service pension. How much of a reduction remains to be seen. They said that the case has been assigned to the Durham office and I should expect inquiries day or night. :whip:

That's why - I was in FERS.  I didn't think CSRS folks contributed to Social Security ?
