The Yalies punch their ticket. No doubt JCA was behind cancelling the Ivy tourney.

:lmao:  Hey, the bulldogs were nice to Amaker.  Gave him a couple of wins to pad his NIT / CIT credentials.

It will be too dangerous to send Harvard kids to those tournaments--however we can send your team into harms way.   ;)

So what's the rationale for no fans next week, but fans still allowed at all the conference tournaments this week?

Certain tournaments going for the money grab? Vandy is closing, the SEC tournament is in Nashville- there’s a disconnect somewhere

Yea, they will probably say it's up to the conference.  Like they are some benevolent dictator.

So with no fans will they give up the ridiculous idea of having the final in a football arena. They can play the final four in Atlanta at the Hawks arena.

With fans any way- might as well have fun with it, I’m thinking Rucker Park

If there are no fans, they could play it in a high school gym.

They are looking for a smaller venue in Atlanta

ESPN reports they’re also considering smaller venues for the earlier rounds.

Colgate lost.

Robert Morris won. They are also coached by a guy who played for Fran Dunphy at Penn. Andy Toole. So I will root for them.

Nebraska coach Fred Hoiberg fell ill during tonight’s game and has been hospitalized. Team is being quarantined in the lockeroom.  Presumably waiting for a coronavirus test.

That’s what Rudy Gobert said.  How would they know that if he hasn’t been previously tested?

The Big Ten, SEC, and American conferences all just cancelled the remainder of their conference tournaments. Hearing the ACC may have just pulled FSU and Clemson off the floor after they began warming up. ACC still pressing on, for the moment.

The guys on the UVA forum now saying both FSU and Clemson have left the court, though the league hasn't made an announcement yet. It's only a matter of time. Just about every other conference has cancelled the rest of their tournament.

Edited at 12:17—Media reports confirm the ACC just cancelled as well. Sounds like right now only the Big East hasn't done so. I assume we'll hear later today the NHL is suspending play. The Board of Governors will meet at 1:00.

Cancelled tournaments v playing just before family in empty arenas.  Not sure the latter can't be done, although it does mean non-essential travel.

As I mentioned, the Ivies cancelled all spring sports.  Their argument is that with several campuses either moving to all on-line or otherwise discouraging students from coming back from spring break, it's kind of hypocritical as well as stupid to keep the teams around just to play.  Big immediate impact is on college lacrosse, with #2, #3, and #5 in the last USILA poll.  Patriot League has followed suit, as has Hopkins. https://www.uslaxmagazine.com/college/coronavirus-covid-19-updates-related-to-lacrosse
