I don't follow VT basketball too closely, but how does an ACC school start 5-0 and not get a single top 25 vote in either poll?  I guess this spoils Maui's plans for a Kansas-MSU final.   Good chance for 3 Virginia teams in the top 25 next week.

If Landers Nolley had been eligible last year they would have made the final four. VT lost almost its whole team from last year when Buzz left.  I think many were skeptical an older coach like Mike Young could step up in the ACC and recruit but he seems to have done OK.  They have some good players coming next year also.

Because four of those wins were against no-name opponents with a combined record of 6-22.  Besides, CBB rankings mean nothing in November.  Good win for them tonight, though.

Yes. Also they were picked to be at or near the bottom of the ACC.

Back to reality for the Hokies. Dayton looks like a very good team. Should be two good games with VCU.

Duke loses to Stephen F Austin.

UMD survives Illinois, wins 59-58, stays undefeated. Down by double digits at one point.

College basketball is so streaky.

Like this Gonzaga team if they stay healthy.   Great size, athleticism, defense.    Their PG is the only weakness, IMO.

VT has only 17 points in the first half against UVA. But Landers Nolley has 15 of the 17 points. That’s just crazy.

Boilermakers absolutely destroyed Mich St today.  As a 4-point home underdog, I thought they had a chance to win outright.  I wouldn't have predicted it'd be by 29 points.

If only the Bog XII football teams could show that much effort on defense.

Quite a comeback for UMD. The Bug Ten is realky soemthing this year. In contrast the ACC is weak.

This going to the monitor crap after every other play during the final minutes is killing my enjoyment of the college game.

I know czabe isnt necessarily popular or relevant, but I’m really coming around to his view of replay- using it kills the moment and doesn’t it really make a difference if a call is right is or not?

Nice to see non traditional and non power conference teams like San Diego State and Dayton competing for top seeds this year.

Jameer Nelson’s son Jameer plays at GW. Looks like he might be their best player.

Maryland at Illinois looks like a good one tonight--8PM on FS1.  I will warm up with some Havard at Yale.

Maryland basketball is bad for my heart.
