Albuquerque .... Long story
In '82, there was a February 1 post mark required to have the opportunity to get tickets to the '83 final. I went to the mailroom and asked for a February 1 post mark for my envelope. I think I included a check for $160 for 4 tickets to the Semis and the Final. Of course, we thought UVA (Sampson) was gonna be in the Final. Well, I hit the lottery and got tickets. My buddy lived in Salt Lake City so we made it a vacation. Rented a mobile home in Salt Lake. Drove to Albuquerque for 4 days (stayed at a truck stop). Went to Vegas for a few days (Circus Circus RV Park) and then back to Salt Lake for 3 days of skiing at Snowbird. Rough 11 or so days.
