I can't imagine a numbers team turning to Dusty at  this point.

Maybe not, but if there's one thing as sure in life as death and taxes, it's that Dusty doesn't take Greinke out of Game 7.  Maybe he would have freaked up the playoffs at some earlier point, but Dusty quite likely wins that game.

Always blame the whistleblower.

ESPN's probably just upset because Cora's firing ruined a human-interest piece they were going to do on the dude who shaves his head for him.  It had been in the works for months and was going to run on the first day of Spring Training between the story on the waiter who Aaron Judge once took a selfie with and the guy who details Tom Brady's car.

If that's true, those freakers should be banned for life.   If you get 80 games for a single PED positive test, it's warranted.

Lifetime ban, along with tar and feather them and march them thru the National Mall.

It'd be less interesting than the stories from the guy who detailed Aaron Hernandez's car, thankfully.

Hey, Hernandez had standards.  He only transported corpses in rental cars.  Now what other things his detail man might have found in Hernandez's car (per recent revelations) might not be a whole lot better.

I wonder if there is a sharp divide growing between batters and pitchers over this.  Doolittle was very outspoken about his support of Fiers.   I'm sure there are a lot of guys that are thinking he broke some kind of code.   Pitchers are getting cheated out of jobs, cheated out of salary, and success.   If they had a working, accurate system, then it is a ridiculous disadvantage to pitchers.

It should be the opposite. MLB should be investigating former players who left Houston, knew about the scheme and didnt report it.

Pretty sure there is no duty to report in the CBA. I doubt baseball wants to touch this- if they suspend players and the players say they did it at the direction of management, the appeals could get really ugly

I don’t know if you remember bountygate. Goodell handed out a bunch of player suspension.  All of them were overturned because of issues with the CBA after a lawsuit. I’m sure that was instructive for this case.

I also love that Manfred covered this up as much as he possibly could and he's failing even at that. Good work my man!

Now they're reaching.

This is what happened last time: https://streamable.com/tkzac

Chapman hung two sliders, back to back. Altuve guessed right.

That’s the thing about cheating, once you do it, your side of the story carries a whole lot less weight
