Scherzer said as much in one of the postgame interviews. He said Parra's contribution in injecting the latin culture into the clubhouse was a big reason the team had the chemistry that united them. It's really hard to imagine this team having that same atmosphere with Werth and Harper in the clubhouse.

Indeed it would have probably torn the dressing room in two.

Werth, for all of his faults, was professional and demanded that from his teammates. On a bad team, there’s not much fun so it’s important to have a reasonably even keel during the grind. It would be interesting to see how this years culture would’ve made everyone feel on a 75 win team.

Not taking anything away I’ve loved it all and am still over the moon!
