Per Mayor Bowser announcement, parade is scheduled for Saturday at 2 p.m. The parade will begin on Constitution Avenue NW at 15th Street NW, proceed east along Constitution Avenue NW, and end on Pennsylvania Avenue NW at 3rd Street NW with a team rally.

Oh strange,  I guess they can still get the capitol building as the backdrop from there as well.  Something else must be happening on the mall.

Metro was supposed to have a shutdown of Blue, Orange and Silver lines downtown but I hear they are canceling all track work this weekend.

Mr wj73 is in SoCal right now. His flight home was originally scheduled to arrive 3pm Saturday at Dulles. He just changed to a red eye getting in at 7:20am so we can make the parade.  :woop: :woop:

Think I'm gonna drive to my niece's house in S. Arlington.    From there, I'll decide whether I'm gonna walk or subway in and out.    Probably do the Caps parade routine and what I do at the stadium  ....   roam around.

any recommendations on watch location?  Figuring we'll get downtown around 11, find lunch somewhere, and walk over.   Probably from McPherson Sq.

Best spot is the National Gallery of Art steps. I was there for the Caps parade and you will definitely be in any highlight reel of the parade. Its going to be a sea of RED. Just be prepared to stand cause it will get crowded.

D.C. estimating well north of 500,000 people (the Caps drew 500K on a Tuesday)

I always said the Caps brought out an absolute ton of people. But I also said if the Nats won that there would be close to a million + on the mall. I still think we will see over 1 Million people along the parade route.
