“I came eight outs away from getting a ring,” Cole said. “I felt I could see the light underneath the door and then it was slammed shut in our face. It never opened actually."

My Dad (born in 56) is a life long Cubs fan. As I've stated previously, I didn't get into baseball until 2012. I'm glad I didn't have to wait as long as he did to see my team win a Series. What a freaking run....
It's crazy to think about how many fans never get to witness their team going to the series, or actually attend a game. I feel really blessed to have been able to experience both. If I died way back in July I would be so pissed right now.

They still show the score of the final game of the Series off to the side.

Whenever I open the MLB app, it still defaults to the WS scores as the opening page for me.  I am going to be sad when spring training starts and that goes away.

When you say "baseball scores", Siri still displays the Game 7 result. Also works if you say "who won the World Series?"

Game 7 re-airing tonight on WJFK 106.7 at 6:30 PM. Gathering the family around the tree and listen to Charlie and Dave is the perfect Christmas Eve.

So now I head to New England for the holidays to seek revenge against the in-laws that have OVER AND OVER AGAIN asked me, “if my curly “W” hat was a Walgreens or a “W”ish I was a Red Sox fan hat” for the past 2 decades. WT#!???!??

So off to  WAR I go!!!  >:(
I have planned a sneak first attack from the left flank while wearing most of my WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP Christmas gear that consists of jacket, gloves, mock turtle shirt, scarf, underwear, socks, watch, and curly “W” hat. Of course this first attack will be done in a humble “in-law kinda way”.   :hysterical:

MANNNNNN! THIS IS GONNA BE FUN!!!
Merry Christmas “WORLD CHAMPS“!!!

Ask them if the B stands for B league.

I enjoyed breaking out the red trophy shark tee shirt yesterday.  I pulled up some videos of the crowd doing baby shark and the WaPo explanation of the phenomenon, including baby for singles mommy for doubles and daddy for triples. Whenever my brother's near 2 year old or the 5year old get hard to settle down, brother calls on Alexa to play baby Shark

I saw Nats classics was on last night and hoped it would be Game 7, but instead they had a game from 2014 that Werth won with a walk-off.  I assume MASN won't have the rights to re-show playoff games.  It was weird watching a team from just 5 years ago with no current Nats, and only two who were on the WS winning team.  The starters were LaRoche, Cabrerra, Desmond, Rendon, Ramos, Werth, Span, and Harper, with Doug Fister pitching.

In that 9 minute clip Slateman posted it said how Eaton had a great world series. No matter what the guys Eaton was traded for do it can never be considered a bad trade for the Nats. A world series win is what it's all about.

So, being as this was everyone's first Christmas as fans of the World Series Champion Washington Nationals, what kind of sweet sweet World Series loot did y'all score?

I got the following.

- Embroidered Pennant with the team logos of every post season series.
- "Fight Finished" hoodie
- World Series Documentary Blu-Ray/DVD set
- A credit at the local frame shop to have my post season strip framed.
- Gerardo Parra signed World Series baseball with "19 WS Champions" inscription. (I was a tad bit obsessed with the Baby Shark craze last season.)
