Game 7 had a 74 share in the DC market, that means that 74% of TVs that were in use, were tuned to the game.

Thats great!  But equally great is that Green bay, WI has 100,000 people and they sell out 80,000 seats on a regular basis.

The finest venue in all of sports, IMHO...

I agree. My Dad is from Green Bay, so I visited every summer when I was a boy. I also lived in the DC area for 11 years when the Nats came down from Montreal. I normally would have been upset that the Packers lost last week, but nothing could get me down after that world series win!  You could have killed my dog and stole my truck, and I would still be smiling  :D

My wife's father was born in Algoma.  She still has family in the Green Bay area, and we get to a Bears / Packers game about every other year...

Don't mess with my dog or my vehicles though...  :nono:

Thats great. I've seen the Pack many times, but only once in Lambeau. Regardless how football ends this year, we still have the world champion Nationals!

Can't compare with a city like DC. What else does one do in Green Bay or all of Wisconsin for that matter on a winter Sunday? You can only do so much ice fishing.
The best part of the Packers is that the team is publicly owned non-profit with 360,000 stock holders, something that sports could use more of.

The best part about the Packers is that they are almost always a winner.  While this does not please me, I have to admire it...

Remember that time and feeling after we got shut down 3 games in a row at home? and then we went back to Houston down 3-2 in the series and then won the World Series? I member. Just amazing, still smiling thinking about it.

Remember that time and feeling after the Astros put two runs on Strasburg in the first and Bregman carried his bat to first? and then Juan Soto hit a go ahead homer and carried his bat to first and then won the World Series? I member. Just amazing, still smiling thinking about it.

That was my favorite part of the entire series.

My vivid memory - game 7:  Watching the ball come off Howie's bat, I noticed the pitcher's reaction that he thought it was trouble.  It seemed like the ball was in slow motion in the air and I leaned forward in my chair.......i think I heard the ball clank of the foul pole before anything else, and then my first thought was, "Holy Sh*t, we are going to win this thing."  Up until that point the game was playing out like a slow death. Just an amazing memory.

It's appropriate that the ball is going to Cooperstown - I can't imagine a Nats fan who won't remember that dinger forever.

It would be nice if it does a stint at the ballpark or Smithsonian or even Archives as well in the near-term.

And I've got to say I can't stand the MLB hologram they stick on all of these, as if there are not better ways to sufficiently authenticate than that at this point or take a chance rather than completely intrude on the visual impact.

Agree - but if it ended up at the Smithsonian, there could be a bureaucratic struggle that would keep the ball from ever making Cooperstown.  I like the ballpark for the next season

Good thing it hit the pole, otherwise might have ended up in the hands of some fan who would surely have sold it.

Or they would "lose" it just like they did the dozens of skeletons of the "giant men of North America".... essentially proof of Sasquatch.
