Good thing it hit the pole, otherwise might have ended up in the hands of some fan who would surely have sold it.

If it made it into the seats, it couldn't be authenticated so they probably wouldn't have grabbed it anyway.

It would be nice if it does a stint at the ballpark or Smithsonian or even Archives as well in the near-term.

And I've got to say I can't stand the MLB hologram they stick on all of these, as if there are not better ways to sufficiently authenticate than that at this point or take a chance rather than completely intrude on the visual impact.
MLB automatically does that as part of their authentication program, but I would be surprised if the HOF keeps it on the ball.

Burns. it burns.
Also.... speaking of butthurt and burns. I apparently have been banned for life from the Phillies reddit. All I said was that Bryce Harper wasn't very good, he just gets paid a lot..... some sensitive marsupials over there.

Still can’t believe grown men will actually use the term “butthurt” without embarrassment

It’s just an expression, no need to get all Butthurt.

I'm butthurt over the butthurt.

Does that make me a liberal?

When Burns' baseball documentary came out, I caught parts of it including the spotlight they put on the 1924 Washington Senators. The segment wrapped up with John Chancellor intoning: "Washington had never won a world championship – – and would never win another." That last part irked me.

MLB Network was replaying it tonight, and I was happy to be able to calmly reply "OH YEAH?!?!?!?"

First one I thought about was Austin Adams.  I would have missed Austin Williams.  Tres, Raudy, and McGowin were not forgettable.  Of course, I wish Barraclough and Rosenthal were.

Calma wins the Latin Grammy for song of the year at last nights awards show.  Dozier did not appear.

It never gets old, does it? I still get misty eyed while watching it.

I had started to forget just how many ground balls back to Grienke there were.

Only a lawyer would focus on that aspect of Game 7

I had started to forget just how many ground balls back to Grienke there were.
