Chippy. Self-assured. A pain in the ass. That's how I assume he is on a day-to-day basis. As long as he's getting on base nothing else matters so much.
He plays hard and he was so clutch in the playoffs. And for that... he's ok by me.
I'm going to guess that the whole routine of celebrating homers has gotten under some folks skin, especially the trucks drivers at the end of the line.
One of my favorite playoff moments was Rendon dancing after he homered off Kershaw in Game 5 to put the Nats 1 run closer at 2-3.The announcer said something to the effect of: "It's Game 5 and the Nationals are down by 1 in the 8th inning... and they're dancing in the dugout..."
Ozuna to the Braves. 1 year at $18M.
Ozuna is a clown show in the outfield. Not worried at all about that signing.
Nats twitter having some fun with the Ozuna signing:https://twitter.com/nationals/status/1219792282326642688
That’s a little much
Ozuna's main value to Atlanta will be to provide protection for Freeman.
This shouldn't be overlooked. We have that same need in regards to protection for Soto. Doesn't look like that'll be addressed either.
He has 23 DRS in 3900 innings in LF. Hes decent in left field. Far from a clown show. Hes certainly no worse than our LFer.
he'll have Kendrick or Thames or RZ behind him, which is no worse than last year. Bigger problem isn't who is hitting behind him; it's who is ahead of him at 1-2-3
My guess:1- SS Turner2- RF Eaton3- 2B Castro4- LF Soto5- 1B Thames / Howie6- 3B Cabrera / Kieboom7- C Suzuki / Gomes8- CF Robles
Someone posted the interview with Davey recently where he said he was open to trying a few different combos, including moving Turner to third and giving Robles a shot at leadoff. So you could see something like:vs RHP:EatonTurnerSotoThamesCastroGomes/SuzukiCabrera / KieboomRoblesvs LHP:RoblesEatonTurnerSotoKendrickCastroGomes/SuzukiCabrera / Kieboom
I really like Turner hitting 2nd or 3rd. I don't see Robles hitting 8th in 80%+ games this year. I actually don't think he'll hit in that spot at all. It's a crappy spot to develop as a hitter. I'm guessing he's first second or 9th. 9th at least gets the pitcher to pitch to you.
