I have absolutely no idea why fans would approve the idea of getting under the salary cap.
The family is worth $5.5B and Ted Lerner is the second richest owner in baseball. Winning the WS assures many millions in profit for several years. What's a few million dollars penalty?
Sign 'em all, the owners can certainly afford it, and the fans deserve it.
Money has to come from the team, not the owners.
