Corbin was amazing last night. That guy was a big reason why the Astros did not score after Scherzer left the game. And what an amazing feeling for Hudson to be the guy who ended the game for the win. A guy who was jobless and did not have a home to a guy who is now a World Series Champion.

Bo Porter reported on Nats Xtra that John Toscas, the Nationals video technician, was the hero who noticed that Strasburg was tipping his pitches in World Series Game 6.

He told pitching coach, Paul Menhart, who immediately held a meeting in the Nationals dugout with Strasburg, Martinez and other coaches. Strasburg made an adjustment and ended up pitching 8 innings for the win. Per Bo Porter, Toscas saved the season with his action.

Apparently Strasburg was tipping in the most classic way possible: it was possible to see him switching the grip in his glove when going from a FB to breaking ball grip right after taking the sign.  That's an issue that sometimes crops up midseason for guys because of small variations in pre-motion routine that nobody normally cares about until it leads to problems. 

How a guy stands or what he does with his glove when he's taking the sign isn't like the delivery, where pitching coaches are constantly watching for any tiny change.   If you watch guys throughout the season, you'll see some variance.

I was there last week and made enough off of games 1 and 2 to cover my out of network ER visit.

True. The delivery is what I always look for. Some pitchers have a different arm angle or leg kick when switching pitches. I'm glad Stras figured it out and stopped the Astros in their tracks!
