We're taking the kid tomorrow to a Halloween party at Ballston Mall, where Slapshot is going to make an appearance. My wife asked me before the game today why Screech wasn't also going to be there. I told her that no matter the outcome of Game 7, Screech was going to be way too blasted and hung over to do anything tomorrow.

That's all I see in my mind now, Screech partying hard.

The talk in Harper's home, Las Vegas, will be about all the people who made small fortunes betting on the Nationals, the biggest underdog since the Wild Card Rockies (who lost.)
 :money:   :$$$:

I put down $10 back in January and got a nice $200 out of it.

I suppose it's a good thing you didn't spend thousands of dollars flying to Washington - though clearly you should have spent that money to fly to Houston.

Fox' Alex Rodriguez on the Astro's manager's decision to pull Greinke [after 80 pitches].

"Greinke didn't even break a sweat... There's a reason why starters are starters and bullpen guys are in the bullpen. Greinke makes $35 million and Harris makes $4 million, and was tired...

You use your eyes... Don't over think it...Martinez left Corbin in for 9 [outs, 3 innings], and they're World Champions."

Yeah it’s bittersweet, as I probably would have just been at the viewing party game 7. But tonight I will not sleep and party like it’s 1999. I can’t describe the jubilation I feel right now. This means so much, sports to me really are everything and finally I can celebrate

The Nats not only defeated the Astros, a very good team, they also prevailed over MLB, who tried their best to thwart a Nationals victory....

WHERE IS CHELSEA!?!?!

Comparative points when a Washington MLB team notched their 4th and winning World Series win, each season:

1924 - 10th October (7th match, beat New York Giants at Griffith Stadium, DC 4-3)
2019 - 30th October (7th match, at Houston Astros, 6-2)
1925 -  finished 3-4 vs  Pittsburgh Pirate
1933  - finished 1-4 vs New York Giants

MASN is currently airing reruns of Nats Xtra after the World Series win, on Thursday, Halloween.

I recorded the MLB network postgame, FS1 and FOX post games and Nats Extra (as well as several MLB network shows like High Heat for today).  Between saving the game and those, I'll have lots of fun over the next few days.

Bo Porter reported on Nats Xtra that John Toscas, the Nationals video technician, was the hero who noticed that Strasburg was tipping his pitches in World Series Game 6.

He told pitching coach, Paul Menhart, who immediately held a meeting in the Nationals dugout with Strasburg, Martinez and other coaches. Strasburg made an adjustment and ended up pitching 8 innings for the win. Per Bo Porter, Toscas saved the season with his action.

I don't think that video man, John Toscas, is with MASN, since they had no right to televise the World Series. Bo Porter mentioned him as an unsung hero in the Nationals organization for the Game 6 win.

I'd like to hear more details too. Do they run their own video of their own pitchers and other players? More likely, they have access to the Fox video with DVR. Someone in the clubhouse or dugout must be watching videos, to see if challenges should be issued. Maybe that is John Toscas.

Instead of pitching 8.1 innings and winning, Strasburg might have given up more hits and runs, left early, and Houston could have won the World Series in Game 6.

I thought I read , though very quickly, that Dozier saw it from the dugout.
