Definitely Parra too. I actually watched a lot of D-Backs games years ago and he was a favorite due to his slick defense and great arm.
You know you have a special team when your worst pinch hitter on the team makes the entire team work.
Baby Shark was the fan favorite and the special something that made this group of men become a real team

The impossible kept happening, round after round. I'm flabbergasted. Congrats Davey for somehow maneuvering through this whole season. Congrats Stras on becoming exactly who people thought you would be. Congrats Rendon for never wavering from the silent assassin you are. Congrats Howie and Adam, two old dogs who helped everyone along. Congrats Parra for being the best addition to a dugout of all time.

Most of all, congrats Zim. The face of the franchise gets what he deserves more than everyone else combined. What a year. What a year.
  +1

Random, but go look at the 2011 draft and see the absolute blunders teams ahead of the Nats made by passing on Tony.

I remember being thrilled that we got Rendon because the book on him was that he was extremely talented and had only dropped due to injury concerns.

What's funny was that 2011 was supposed to have a really stacked top 10 with almost no bad picks in it, but I'm sure the Mariners want back their pick of Hultzen at #2 overall.

I'm not.  He and Bob Carpenter can go time travel to board the Titanic.

What an amazing run. I’m still in disbelief. So happy for all the players and staff.

Message to Harper: "your ring is in the mail nag!" :judge:

The talk in Harper's home, Las Vegas, will be about all the people who made small fortunes betting on the Nationals, the biggest underdog since the Wild Card Rockies (who lost.)

geez, Gerrit Cole is pissed, he said he's no longer an employee of the Astros and would only speak for himself.  Hinch says the plan was to go to Cole in the 9th but when things fell apart he shied away from using him.

they missed their opportunity the moment Rendon went deep.

Message to Cole, the Nats have been on a tour of settling debts and they owed you one from game 5 so you were going to get clobbered anyway! :whip:

Gerrit Cole can get a 2020 contract with the Nationals, although much of it will be deferred, to help him with tax planning.

I was there last week and made enough off of games 1 and 2 to cover my out of network ER visit.
