Oh stop, things are said all the time in the heat of a game thread.

Glad no one ever hears what me and the missus say to each other.     :)

There a few posters who have said this stuff over and over. And they are not kidding from what I can tell. And now they are silent. Not talking about the regulars who say nonsense all the time.

Where are all the posters who said this guy and that guy and the other were all worthless. That they were not trying. And all the other ridiculous nonsense.
They are the same ones saying all the Nats walk on water.

That's an acceptable answer.  Not risking his arm with that many pitches for the future in a 5 run game is another.  Saving him for an inning tomorrow is another lol

I just wonder why even bring Stras out for the 9th if he can't finish it?  It's not like he was having any trouble getting outs.

Different than what he said on Fox after the game.

These guys have done us proud whatever happens tomorrow. I found the secret. So I will predict a Houston win right now.  And no Nats short while I watch the game.

I predicted Houston to win today. And the Nats won. I didn’t wear a Nats T-shirt today unlike the last few games. It’s simple.

Got it - the "short" typo confused me.

MLB's whole ad campaign this year has revolved around "playing loud" with reels of batters acting like hot crap, so I mean...  par for the course.

Yeah, I guess that’s where I kinda misrepresented my position.  I had no problem with what Soto did, nor did I have a problem with what Bregman did (in fact, I didn’t have a problem with Stras brushing him back on Bergman’s next AB).

I just prefer winning over all of those.  And, if you think about it...  if Bregman carrying the bat with him is what ignited the Nats then that’s stupid on his part.  Glad Soto’s wasn’t as stupid.

Turner never once at any point was in the running lane and left it open to an umpire’s interpretation. Plus, they even went to replay and took extra time to get the call right.

Ponder this:  what if that was Alex Bregman instead of Trea Turner and he’d been ruled “safe” instead of out?

They didn’t go to replay. They just called New York and they said it was non-reviewable
