Runner just needs one foot inside baseline.
That’s what I always thought. But is it ok if it’s the last step?

It's disgraceful that Davey has to tiptoe around it in the presser because if he doesn't the umps will insert themselves even harder into game 7 than they're already planning to

So he needs to avoid the glove? I don't think so.
Yea. If a guy is running from first to second and the second basemen makes a throw to the SS he doesn’t have to avoid it.

Davey on Bregman's (and Soto's) bat carry: "That's not who we are."

Also checkmate Minty, Joe Torre just said Turner was out because he interfered with the glove of the 1B and was not because he was off the line.

Stras deserved to get the CG. He was so dominant.

I'm sure they will escape this, but just saying.

I agree. I wonder if Davey would have actually walked out there in that situation?  The only acceptable answer is that they wanted Doolittle to get in there and face live batters.

And that's the part of me that I connect with in you.

Just like being a stubborn freak who never admits when he's wrong is the part of Minty I connect to :lmao:

I'd like to see a full view of that play to see when the home plate umpire made the interference call. Did he call it right as it happened or did he call it after he saw the the ball went into RF and the Nats had runners on 2B and 3B with no outs? :stir:

Nats Xtra has the replay. the home umpire can clearly be seen making the out gesture AFTER the Nationals now had runners on 2B & 3B with no outs. He did NOT call it right as it happened. He waited to see the result. CHEATING, BRIBED jerk!

They didn't specify and he just said something like "I don't want to make it about me"

Harold Reynolds just said:  "I loved it when they said - 'Oh, you're gonna hold your bat, I'm gonna hold my bat.'"

Davey turning the attention away from the umps to the gutsy performance by the players.  Love that.

MLB's whole ad campaign this year has revolved around "playing loud" with reels of batters acting like hot crap, so I mean...  par for the course.
