Is Trout really that good defensively? I've seen his highlight plays, but is a 235 lb, 29 yo really more than a passable CF? I'd imagine Robles and Taylor get to a lot of balls a step or two out of his reach. He gets such a WAR boost from playing CF, but is that really where he should be as measured by really helping your team win games?
I'd love to see Trout playing CF in 162 games on a pennant winning team. Would he put up the lofty numbers when he's being pitched to carefully? Would he really look like an above average CF in games that matter?
