Not really. The just have spent a whole lot beyond those big four. Where as we spent 6 million on Doolittle, 8 million on Harris, 5.5 million Hudson, they have Robles and a whole lot of low level contracts. Our number four starter makes more than any of their top 3 guys.

Well, it would be terrific if he were to keep up something like his current pace, of course.  It really is fun to watch him emerge as well as players like Tatis and possibly Robert.

The poor dears: In March Forbes reported that the Lerner fortune was down from $5.3B to only $4B. Bloomberg puts current net worth at $4.7B or so as of 9/20.
In any case Lerner is still the richest person in Maryland.
He's 95, time to loosen the purse strings a bit.
