Braves gave Acuna 8 years 100 mill buying out his pre-arb, arb, and first few free agent years.
Soto makes basically the minimum in 2020. He's then eligible for arbitration in 2021, 2022, and 2023. Then he's a free agent. Acuna's deal is a good model on what it would take. The only issue is facing the luxury tax right now and bringing a guy from a half mill to whatever annual salary Soto would get in a deal like Acuna. I would think Soto's family could benefit from that kind of money now versus waiting.
