The Lerners built their empire on commercial real estate that is now basically worthless and they own a high-payroll team that is pulling little or no revenue. Do it!!
The poor dears: In March Forbes reported that the Lerner fortune was down from $5.3B to only $4B. Bloomberg puts current net worth at $4.7B or so as of 9/20.
In any case Lerner is still the richest person in Maryland.
He's 95, time to loosen the purse strings a bit.
