Based on the fact that 9 out of the 10 teams that swept the LCS lost the WS
So if that’s the deciding factor what does it matter at all what the Astros or Yankees do. They will
Obviously win. Or can the Nats go back in time and drop game four?

All I'm saying is there is no evidence to suggest that the Astros or Yankees winning a long, drawn out series provides any advantage to the Nationals, and historically, it is an advantage to the team that has to play more games.

I'd like to think our fans aren't as bad as this:

https://www.nj.com/yankees/2019/10/chaos-crude-yankees-fans-taunt-astros-zack-greinke-before-alcs-game-4.html
I was sitting in the second row of Section 240 (below the scoreboard) during game 3 on Monday.  Some really drunk Nats fan was saying some nasty stuff to Martinez in right field.  Throwing stuff at players is really bad, but even taunting is off base in my opinion. My hope everyone who goes to a Series game shows that we have some class.  Let's give the national TV audience a chance to appreciate the Nationals and their fans, even if a lot of them hate "Washington".

The Dodgers won the NLCS in 7 games last year. The Red Sox won the ALCS in 5 games.

I would rather not have Cole pitch until game three. Better chance for the Nats to take one or two in Houston and he may only pitch one game. I would almost guarantee that the Vegas odds push more to the Nats if Cole has to pitch a game 7.

At this point I think the Yankees may win. I could see the Astros choking this one away. They were just swinging at all kinds of bad pitches tonight. They can’t hit with runners on base.

So are NY & Houston playing tonight ?  The rain delay of last Tuesday may have put a kink into the notion of a travel day after game 5

Have they announced SP for either team tonight?  I haven't been able to find it.

Happ and Urquidy.

Exactly who you want in Game 6 of LCS.

Is that official?  I've seen speculation it will be Green/Urquidy, but either way I suspect a bullpen brigade for both teams.

He was comin' up the dugout steps for his start.     I wasn't really payin' attention but I did hear "Peacock".     Hmmm, that's a familiar name.    :)      Gio did provide a few good years so I can't say anything too bad about him (especially since he's gone).    I still have an autographed 8 X 10 of Gio.     When the Nats have problems during games, I light my Gio candles.      :mg:

How many pitchers are on these teams rosters that they can burn through a pitcher plus per inning right from the start?

The mediots have painted a picture all season of Aaron Judge as all bat and no glove.  All I've seen this postseason is several outstanding plays and zero miscues in the field.
