Yankees have committed 3 errors.

A couple of those were tough chances...

Damn shame.  I'd love to face these NY clowns in the WS.

Our pitchers could have smashed strikeout records against the Yankees

In today’s Medicare update, I had an MRI on my OEM knee last week. I saw the report and from this layman it seems I have a torn meniscus. I meet with the orthopedic doctor next week to go over the plan of attack.

A torn meniscus can heal on its own. But no surgeon is going to tell you that. Surgeons like to do surgeries. They don't give a rat's ass about what you have to go through. It's all about the money.

As much as I would rather face the Yankees, every crowd shot made me realize why I hate them so much.  What a bunch of Neanderthals.

I was at Nats Park for NLCS games 3 & 4.  Do you really think Nats fans are any different, given the excitement of the moment ?

Yes I do.  There is a certain anger in the Yankees fan base that I don't see with other teams.  Hell, they were chucking full bottles on to the field during game 3.

Joe Girardi unable to keep it together talking about CC Sabathia, who has thrown his last pitch.

Maybe it’s New York fans in general?

I think we need to start coming to terms with the fact that the Nationals are going to be facing Cole in Game 1 and Verlander in Game 2. Maybe Grienke will have a social anxiety attack on the mound in Game 3.

Greinke didn't give up a run except for that Corbin-like sequence in the first inning yesterday, but he looked hittable the whole game.

I'm hoping he gets the start in game 3 in DC.

And yet, he had a start in DC this summer with Arizona in which he looked totally unhittable.  It's tough sledding when your hope as to the other side's pitching is that their #3 starter, Zack Greinke, lays two eggs in a row, where an "egg" includes giving up one earned run.

Need for the Yankees to win tonight at least.

Yeah, true.  I originally thought about this wrong and thought it would just switch the first two starters but then realized that playing tomorrow pushes one back in the WS.  Derp.

I'm actually hoping for 4 eggs in a row (Game 1 ALCS, Game 4 ALCS with 1 ER, Game 7 ALCS coming out of the bullpen meltdown, Game 3 World Series nuclear meltdown in DC)

Verlander hasn't been dominant either - 3.12 ERA in 3 starts so far.  I'm more worried about their offense.

I'd like to think our fans aren't as bad as this:

Yankees made it official, Ben Heller replaces Sabathia on the ALCS roster due to a shoulder injury. :(

We were in Milwaukee a few years ago and got to see him pitch against the Nats during his short stint there, he was absolutely dominating.

I am really enjoying this ALCS.  If the Astros win tonight then I get to see a lot of pissed off Yankee fans who paid a lot of money to see them get their tails kicked in by Houston.  If the Yankees win, then it's good for the Nats.

It'll be interesting if the Astros drop tonight.  Verlander on short rest, which I guess is to set him up for Game 2 on normal rest.  If the Yankees get to him and win, then do the Astros go bullpen game for game 6 and hope that they don't have to burn Cole?

Yes, more than likely a bullpen game.
