someone else just asked Scherzer about homecoming week in Missouri. I think he's fed up with the stupid question.

Was it because of the initial way it displayed?

After his last start he said his arm was ready to fall off and yet he came out today and spun a gem.  Rest does wonders.

Postgame he said his shoulder was tight at the start and his arm angle was poor, hence he was not able to command his fastball.  But after a few innings the shoulder loosened up and he was more comfortable and got the fastball how he wanted it.

TBS practically begging for the Cards to come back in the bottom half.

They were basically rooting for the Brewers in the playoff game. I muted, turned on Charlie and Dave and haven’t looked back.

Charlie and Dave are the best radio team in this or any sport.

We were on a road trip yesterday and today. It was wonderful to be able to hear them via XM

Their manager is a jerk and their fans like him for his jerkiness. See youtube for his vile speech.

"vile"?  He used a few profanities. :hysterical:

???

Scherzer’s already been pulled....

Scherzer has publicly proclaimed that he is focused on his starts, and not relief appearances.

I guess Martinez is someone who grows on you, because he does NOT make a good first (or second) impression.

The fans in our area are way too polite, IMO.  I think it's because they are not hardcore, by and large.  The upside is that it's a more sterile environment for children.

Sorry I couldn't join you all on the thread for last night's glorious Max effort Game 2.
I had a recording session to attend so I stayed in media blackout until I got home and then watched the game on DVR with the hideous TBS announcers instead of my beloved C&D. Didn't matter! Another  :w: :woop: :woop: :panic: :panic: :panic: :metal: :minigunz:
 Oh yes I believe!!

It's because of the transient factor. You go to other cities and the peeps sitting in the stands are almost exclusively fans of the home team. Here we have a huge segment of the peeps in attendance are fans of the opposition. So the responses here are a little muted because not everyone is pulling for the Nats.
