Provided we keep this up, whoever we end up with in the AL will have a much better offense than St. Louis.

Hopefully that series will go 7.

We were specifically talking about the pitch counts and fatigue. He literally said “my arm is hanging” after his last start.

You’re an idiot. But glad you spend time poring through my old posts.

Doesn’t matter. You still had to go back and look for a quote to totally take out of context. I guess I should be flattered.

I was thinking maybe I would be able to drive out to that wonderful baseball town for game six or seven. Looks to be unnecessary. So be it.

Nats dropping our junk on the cards fans. Couldn't happen to a nicer group of douchebags

:lmao:

I have to admit, I don't share the same disdain for Cards fans that most people here have.

The couple of times I went to games when the Cards were in town, their fans were a surprisingly tolerable bunch (considering how many of their fans were in attendance - this was during the dark years of Natsdom--late '05 through 2010).  They were nothing like Philthies, Barves, or even Cubs fans, who would act like they owned the place.

I guess I might feel differently if I had attended any of those 2012 playoff games.

Still, freak'm.  They can suffer right now.

I’m still worried about Max in his next start given what he said after the game. Hope they don’t need him this series again and he can rest until we face the big boys from the AL.

Oh crap...

I realized that I could easily do that if the Nats play the 'Stros (I'm about three hours away), but damnit, I'd end up spending way more dough than I'm comfortable with.  Decisions...  :nervous:

Sweep STL and it’s not a problem.

After his last start he said his arm was ready to fall off and yet he came out today and spun a gem.  Rest does wonders.

It would be next Friday. That's an extra day for recovery.

It makes the wins even sweeter!  On the pregame all the guys in the studio said the Nats would win. Notice how no one here pointed that bias out.
The nite before they all said the opposite. Then they saw their idols in action.

The pregame show reported that Hudson wanted to stay with the team and pitch. (He has other children). dave Martinez said that he told Hudson that he did not miss the birth of any of his own children, and that Hudson needed to be with his wife. It was too important, and the rest of the team would cover for him.

After his return after Washington won game 1, Martinez suggested that Hudson name the baby girl "Annabella Sean," for Sanchez and Doolittle.

Their manager is a jerk and their fans like him for his jerkiness. See youtube for his vile speech.

The right call and it worked out. Respect to Davey
