Box score says Team LOB = 13.  You can't count the same runners LOB twice.  If you want to do that to make it seem worse go ahead.  It was a bad night with RISP. 2 for 12.

Super excited, of course, but the best part is how every single person I see or meet seems to want to talk about the Nats. It will keep ratcheting up with each victory.

The funniest part are the people I have not heard from in years asking me for tickets. I have to admit old ticket partners asking is the most gratifying part.😏

Still in shock that we’re cruising/crushing the competition. Brewers, Dodgers and now the Cards all being tossed aside in stunned disbelief. All these teams that no doubt thought the Nats that were 19-31 and finding every way imaginable to lose at the beginning of the year are that same team now. But the funniest thing is a week ago many here were penning their eulogies and are now looking beyond the Cards and pondering our series opponent.

We were at JMU yesterday for parent's weekend.  After the football game, as we were exiting the stadium, it seemed everyone around us was talking about the Taylor home run.

The night the Nats beat the dodgers in game 5 I got a call at 1:45 am from my mom. I thought maybe something might be wrong so I answered. She wanted to talk about the Nats victory. She said she had already called her brother. Had called 3 of my brothers (one didn't answer) and she had run out of people to call at that hour to talk about the game.

Not really, fingers crossed, but this so far is playing a lot like Caps in '18. After a long and heavily littered variety of chokes and series defeats from 2008-2017 I think most caps fans gave up on the Ovy era following the failed pending free agent heavy '16-'17 run. Then suddenly, it all came together in '17-'18 w/a roster that was fundamentally weaker than half a dozen previous rosters. This Nats team isn't inferior so much as just Bryce-less, and following Simmons "Ewing Theory" model. Please, please let it play out exactly like the '17-'18 Caps playoff run.

That 2013 Tigers team, however, had a different story. Sanchez carried them to a 1-0 victory in Game 1, but the Red Sox recovered from a four-run deficit after Scherzer departed in Game 2, then won the series in six.

actually, it was Sanchez, Scherzer, Verlander, plus porky and Fister.  I think they got Price in 2014, to replace Fister.
