13 LOB.
Box score says 21... since multiple batters can leave the same runners on base. Soto and Taylor each had 6.

Box score says Team LOB = 13.  You can't count the same runners LOB twice.  If you want to do that to make it seem worse go ahead.  It was a bad night with RISP. 2 for 12.

Per Zuck, Hudson is in town and activated.  Suero removed from active roster.

Seems like he’s in their heads, even if they are getting him out.
Glad to see a team and fan base taking up the mantle of the police for the unwritten rules now that McCann retired.

Makes sense. He isnt going until Game 4. At this point, we probably trust Sanchez as much as anyone

Cheapest seats for possible game 6 on StubHub are 775. I am sure that will come down some but I probably just should have bought some the other day.

I guess that was a glitch because I went back in and found much cheaper tickets.

A funny explanation for Eaton's big hit last night. Apparantly Eaton is a Seinfeld fan!

Waking up this morning and still struggling to accept that this is happening.  We are in completely unchartered territory.

How's everyone doing?

Super excited, of course, but the best part is how every single person I see or meet seems to want to talk about the Nats. It will keep ratcheting up with each victory.

The funniest part are the people I have not heard from in years asking me for tickets. I have to admit old ticket partners asking is the most gratifying part.😏

Still in shock that we’re cruising/crushing the competition. Brewers, Dodgers and now the Cards all being tossed aside in stunned disbelief. All these teams that no doubt thought the Nats that were 19-31 and finding every way imaginable to lose at the beginning of the year are that same team now. But the funniest thing is a week ago many here were penning their eulogies and are now looking beyond the Cards and pondering our series opponent.

We were at JMU yesterday for parent's weekend.  After the football game, as we were exiting the stadium, it seemed everyone around us was talking about the Taylor home run.

The night the Nats beat the dodgers in game 5 I got a call at 1:45 am from my mom. I thought maybe something might be wrong so I answered. She wanted to talk about the Nats victory. She said she had already called her brother. Had called 3 of my brothers (one didn't answer) and she had run out of people to call at that hour to talk about the game. :lmao:

Not really, fingers crossed, but this so far is playing a lot like Caps in '18. After a long and heavily littered variety of chokes and series defeats from 2008-2017 I think most caps fans gave up on the Ovy era following the failed pending free agent heavy '16-'17 run. Then suddenly, it all came together in '17-'18 w/a roster that was fundamentally weaker than half a dozen previous rosters. This Nats team isn't inferior so much as just Bryce-less, and following Simmons "Ewing Theory" model. Please, please let it play out exactly like the '17-'18 Caps playoff run.

It's interesting to analyze why great teams don't win, and "wild card" teams do. I can't say for certain that the Nats are better than the Dodgers, but they were when it counted. People kept saying that the Dodgers hadn't played a meaninful game in months. So maybe that (non) competetive stretch kept the Dodgers down? I think that our starting pitching staff is the main reason why we are where we are. I'm happy to see Eaton and Taylor produce big-time in game 2. Of course, the Rendon-Soto combo is an obvious strength. Let's hope Strasburg continues the top-notch pitching and we can win raise the NL pennant at home!

Road teams that take 2-0 series leads in a best-of-seven series have advanced 22 out of 25 times. [88%]

That 2013 Tigers team, however, had a different story. Sanchez carried them to a 1-0 victory in Game 1, but the Red Sox recovered from a four-run deficit after Scherzer departed in Game 2, then won the series in six.

Because baseball is random and weird. And the playoffs at times can seem like a Random Championship Generator.

2013 game 2 was Ortiz 's grand slam into the bullpen with Torii Hunter flipping the wall and the security officer raising his hands as it's flying out

actually, it was Sanchez, Scherzer, Verlander, plus porky and Fister.  I think they got Price in 2014, to replace Fister.
