I had some thought about trying to make Saturday’s game but won’t work out. Maybe game six?

And the real Taylor has shown signs of resurfacing. I think they should consider swapping Adams with Stevenson.

MAT filled in admirably for Robles, and of course he was a true hero in 2017 against the Cubs.  He seems to be cool under pressure.  However, yes over time his weaknesses show and I want Robles back out there.

Adams has really struggled, and aside from being able to potentially run into one, he bring little to the table.  Stevenson is a better pinch hitter and can be a defensive replacement in the OF or pinch run.

It’s all relative. About 350 miles.

Parra can do what Stevenson does. Dont need redundancy. Adams has the most PH HRs active in MLB career. Plus he has a revenge factor going angainst his old team.

The one thing I do hope is if Elias is able to pitch, I want him back there and take Strickland off.

Zuckerman said a few days ago he had only begun to throw of flat ground, I don't think we see him back this year.

Stevenson is a better runner than Parra by quite a bit.

Nationals have to go with a more standard bullpen for at minimum a few games. I don't think our starters can hold up another 7 game series going all hands on deck, unless it is an elimination game.
Need the bullpen to help out for at least one game

The Redbirds don't exactly have a stellar pen either.  CarMart was VERY shaky against the Braves, and who knows what happened to Andrew Miller.  The guy from Cleveland is long gone.

And the real Taylor has shown signs of resurfacing. I think they should consider swapping Adams with Stevenson.
I think so.  My guess is Zimmerman at 1st, Howie at 2d will be the primary alignment, and A-Cab can play both positions if you are hunting for a switch hitter.  6 OFs is a lot for a series, but you can do it if Suzuki is healthy (2 catchers), 6 OFs, 6 IFs (Dozier and Cab as the nominal backups), 4 starters, and 7 relievers.

I sure hope so. The entire second half of the season has not been kind to Big City.

Turtle and I have a mods meeting scheduled for game 3.

At your Mods meeting, you can discuss how I created this thread first, with the exact title in place now. You then promptly deleted it and moved the posts to the Johnny-Come-Lately thread later created by CoryTheFormerExposFan, who couldn't be bothered with posting in my thread, which was on the same page. (It's not the first time he's done this on WNFF.).
              :wtf:
Cory-etc-etc then created another thread, the sole purpose of which was to insult Slateman, which The Chief promptly closed.

It just seems like a weird way for a baseball team to think/speak.  Football?  Yes.  I just laugh at a baseball saying, "We are going to F you up."
