What do we say to death/elimination?

Not today.

call me crazy but I actually like that the Cardinals have "home field advantage"  With this 2-3-2 format all we have to do is split in St. Louis and we are guaranteed 3 straight games on our turf. ...This really could happen

It’s really hard to win three games in a row at home.

I don't think home field means anything (it certainly didn't yesterday).  Actually, Max on the road may be the better, calmer Max.

Considering the long ball is Max's only weakness these days, Busch stadium seems like a better place for him to pitch.

I'm not sure who starts game 2.  Bringing Max back on short rest doesn't seem ideal, based on ho exhausted he was after his last start.

game 2 would not be short rest

You are correct.  I keep thinking game 4 was on Tuesday, not Monday.  Max gets to pitch in his hometown.

Have 2 wildcard teams ever faced off in the World Series?   (asking for a friend)

Is there any kind of update on Suzuki?  If Sanchez pitches game 1 it might not be pretty with Gomes catching him.

I'm..... Not scared.

We broke through the barrier. This is new territory. I'm happy.

Sort of like the Caps and the Penguins. This is going to be fun, no matter how it shakes out.

Game 1: Sánchez
Game 2: Scherzer
Game 3: Corbin
Game 4: Strasburg

That's short rest for Max.  I think Corbin will start Game 2, Max Game 3, Stras Game 4, Corbin Game 5, Max Game 6, and Stras Game 7.  If it goes that far.

Isn’t that 4 days rest for Max?
