He didn't just say other managers. He made the statement after talking about having played under a lot of different managers. It kind of came across like he was throwing the likes of Manny Acta, Riggleman, Davey, Matt and Dusty under the bus. I don't have an opinion on any of those guys' approachability, but it did strike me as an odd comment. I assume he just didn't express himself well and made a generic comment when he only had one or two people in mind.
I think that stretch of Riggleman, Johnson, and Williams was what he may have been talking about. Johnson checked out when 2013 was tough, the other two managed panicked. Dusty was level.
