Nowhere really to hide Howie, but first base is probably not the right place to try.  We have AssCab off the bench, which is good.  We have only one pinch runner (MAT) but should have two (Stevenson) because there are roster positions being consumed by dead beats in the pen.  That's on Rizzo.  Hopefully it won't matter.

Isnt' this supposed to be pedal to the metal?  Why isn't Stevenson replacing Robles?  Who cares about the NLCS?  We need to focus on THIS GAME.

It was a Saturday and I had plans with a couple of buddies to go see a Hercules movie at the base theater. When out of the blue Mrs so and so pulls up to our house and says she has some extra tickets to go see Bob Hope. Next thing I know I’m in the back seat of Mrs so and so’s station wagon off to see Bob Hope, Jerry Costello, Phyllis Diller and the rest of his troupe. I was pissed that I missed Hercules.
