Toronto Maple Leafs would probably like to get closer to one of those than going to see it at the HHoF.  Poor little pickles.

Ovechkin will throw out tonight's first pitch. Great timing. The Nats can pull the rug out from under us and hand it to Ovechkin for the same in April.

does this nats team have the GUYS that the caps had when they won it all? that 2018 caps team was so loaded. i know this nats team has put up great numbers all year but hard to look at them and not see a bunch of nubs with just a couple GUYS

Say what you will about Slate, but he was here all season long.  Good times and bad.

For whatever that's worth...  :D

Then let him do the GDT. But a GDT shouldn't start with "We are gonna lose this game, and it's Rendon's last game too".

Big question tonight: Does Strasburg pitch or do you save him for a possible game 5?

Max goes 7, Stras goes 2,   Game 5, Voth, Fedde, Hudson-anybody but Rodney or Suero

Don't want to embarrass him by choking him out in the parking lot when he gets all mad. Wouldn't want to have to take his place for first pitch.

This is the most winnable game of the series. Scherzer vs a gimpy Rich Hill.

Tickets are going for cheap on stubhub. Might be a weak crowd.

Guessing Hill doesn't go more than 4 innings.  He's only pitched 3 times for a halal of 5.2 innings in September but he was virtually unhittable.  Last outing on 9.29 was 3 innings, 1 H, 2BB, 4K, 0ER

Literally, "Anthony Rendon's last game." That's not the start of a GDT 10+ hours ahead of game time.

I thought Kershaw was pitching Game 5. Does this mean Buehler is available out of the pen?

If that's the plan, why even bother with Game 4?

Huh

It’s the age old conundrum: do you burn all your good pitching in an elimination game to actually give the best chance of a decider, knowing you will at a great disadvantage in that game since your top arms are unavailable. Or do you spread thin in both games meaning less chance of winning the first but more chance in game 2...

For the record I have no clue what we should do!
