2014 Game 2 kind of made the Game 5 an anticlimax in the suck contest.

edit: did we even have a game 5 that year?  Does it matter?

Nah.. just 9.99 for the network... I bet you have spent way more money than that to watch way worse in Nats park.. LOl especially if you were there for any game 5's...
Actually though remind me because I cannot remember... and am too tired and lazy to research. Have all of the game 5 debacles been at Nats park? If so then maybe thats the problem.

Oh, yeah. I've been there for just about every postseason game since 2012. In fact, I've only missed one. Going tonight.

WE are actually the favorites going into tonight according to Vegas.  For the record if we beat LA I am fully ok with everyone scolding my negativity because I want to be wrong.. whats that old saying about expecting the worst? I'm all for being pleasantly surprised

At the end of the day, it's just a game.  Don't obsess over it. :)

“Just a game” my as$?!????

The earth is going to be sucked into a black hole if we lose to the Dodgers at home tonight and you’re saying “it’s just a game”??? “Don’t obsess over it”???... really?  :nervous: :ballbat:

You know, I've become rather philosophical about the Nats in the posteason. You just want the opportunity and hope one day they break through. In between, there are good times like the WC game.

You know at first thats how I felt. I was just happy they turned the season around and at least got the wildcard. Then i just wanted to win the wildcard to say we made it to the playoffs. But now I really want to win this series. I'm married to a Braves fan and them going further than we do is just not an option for me. Please don't suggest divorce though... LOL  we share favorite teams in college football and NFL  , we just have this little issue during baseball season.

I think we'll win tonight and then lose somehow in excruciating fashion after leading in game 5.

You are capable of going to New Mexico and eating the best food on the planet.

I’m leaving for Santa Fe for a week on Thursday. I’m holding you to your word that it will make me feel better.  8)

Seriously Vicki-I know how you feel. Last night was such a sucker punch. It’s like we’ve all seen this movie before, and no matter how much we want to change the conclusion, the dog always dies at the end.  :'(

Santa Fe's kind of artsy and douchy, but the hatch chiles are the best.

(1) All existence involves suffering. (2) The cause of suffering is craving. (3) The end of suffering comes with the end of craving. (4) There is a path that leads away from suffering.

I've read that somewhere.      :)

Joking aside, this team has had a perennial inclination to be unable to defend its home turf against good teams - both during pivotal regular season series and in the playoffs.

Yes, anything is possible in a 5 or 7 game series but ... I considered the Wild Card game win as the acme of what this team was capable of.

Off topic , but is pretty much everyone from here either  a resident of the DC area now or was a resident at some point? In other sports who are your faves or does everyone basically cheer for all DC area teams?

Just wondering because I don't really have home teams and my favorite teams are sort of all over the map.Makes the cable bill really high from all the sports subscriptions but I save alot by not getting to visit ball parks..lol
